Bishop Daniel T. Littleton

Bishop Daniel Titus Littleton, a man deeply rooted in the rich heritage of the Mississippi Delta and the enduring legacy of the Church Of God In Christ (COGIC), exemplifies humility and unwavering commitment to the great commission of Jesus Christ. His fervor for soul-winning and dedication to spreading God’s love resonate with the ethos of the Mississippi Southern First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, where he assumed the role of Prelate in 2017.

Hailing from Jackson, Mississippi, Bishop Littleton’s journey is a testament to his Mississippi Delta roots. A graduate of Lanier High School and an alumnus of Jackson State University, where he studied Business Administration, he seamlessly blends his local upbringing with a global vision for ministry. His spiritual odyssey, spanning nearly 30 years, reflects a commitment to the COGIC legacy passed down through generations.

In 2017, Bishop Littleton’s leadership expanded as he was appointed Regional Bishop of South Two, overseeing 16 Jurisdictions in the states of Mississippi, Louisiana, and Arkansas. Beyond the ecclesiastical realm, he serves as the Pastor of Greater Deliverance COGIC, a dynamic ministry with two locations in Forest and Byram, Mississippi. Additionally, he leads as the Senior Pastor of the historic Liberal Trinity COGIC in Jackson, where his visionary leadership has left an indelible mark.

Bishop Littleton’s influence extends beyond the pulpit into the community, where he founded Life Builders of Mississippi, GDC Community Outreach, Inc., MSEFJ Food Security Program, and the MSFEJ Disaster Relief Program. These initiatives, deeply embedded in his commitment to humanitarian efforts, address the social and physical needs of the community. As a compassionate leader, he actively supports charities such as COGIC Charities, Mississippi Food Network, World Vision Chosen Project, and the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.

His roots in the Mississippi Delta are not merely geographical but intricately woven into his ministry, evident in his response to crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Jackson’s Water Crisis, and natural disasters. Bishop Littleton, alongside his wife Wanda, engages on the front lines, providing food, water, personal protective equipment, and financial assistance to those in need.

A second-generation COGIC member, Bishop Littleton’s journey from a young boy crafting his first guitar for worship to a seasoned minister epitomizes faithful service and obedience to leadership. Having served at various levels—local, district, jurisdictional, and national—his life is a living testament to being saved, sanctified, Holy Ghost-filled, and anointed by God. With a heart tuned to the rhythms of the Mississippi Delta and a soul anchored in COGIC’s legacy, Bishop Daniel Titus Littleton continues to inspire and impact lives through his dedicated ministry.
